
Shipping & delivery
All parcels are shipped from Denmark, packaged responsibly, and should take between 1-5 days to arrive.
How much does shipping cost?
I charge a flat rate, depending on the weight of your order. The shipping service will be handled by either DHL, UPS (international orders) or PostNord (for some deliveries within Scandinavia).
I ship to most countries within EU.
I recommend placing separate orders for larvae and supplies.

Express shipping can be offered by request over email.
If ordering items with a final package weight of more than 10 kg, please make separate orders.
When will my parcel ship?
I generally ship packages on either Mondays or Tuesdays, to minimize chances of animals being stuck in transit over a weekend. So that means, after your order has successfully been placed, you can expect your order to be shipped the following Monday or Tuesday. If your package has a tracking number, you will receive an email containing tracking information when the package ships.
Do you ship to the USA or UK?
No. I unfortunately don’t ship live animals outside the EU, due to law and prolonged shipping.
Can I pick up my parcel to save on shipping?
Generally, yes. Please contact me to make any arrangements - I might be planning to go to an expo near you. If you are in Denmark, I might be able to leave your package by a pickup spot.
Do you ship during winter months?
yes. However, shipping prices are notched up during this period, to provide heat packs and isolated boxes.
Live arrival guarantee?
No, but-
I am not responsible for any deaths of larvae or beetles that might occur during transit, at the fault of the delivery driver or shipping service. Shipping live animals comes with a risk, that you, the customer, accept when placing an order with me. Postal services can be unreliable. However, I do guarantee that all animals offered for sale by me at RAINBOWBUGZ are healthy and in stellar condition to the very best of my knowledge when shipped. I go great lengths to make sure animals are packaged accordingly, and only ship using options where delivery time is below 5 working days. Once the animals have been delivered to the customer or after they have left our premises, i cannot take responsibility for diseases occurring or for possible loss at a later date.
You as a customer are responsible for picking up larvae in the case they are admitted to a pickup point, within a timely manner. This applies to getting your larvae inside at a controlled temperature if delivered by your doorstep. Deaths that occur as a result of you failing to move larvae indoors upon delivery, or being absent when postal services arrive with your order, will not be replaced.
In the horrible scenario where an animal arrives dead or injured at fault of the postal service only, please send a picture for proof maximum 12 hours after delivery and we can come to an agreement about a replacement. Email is fawkes.rainbowbugz@gmail.com. I do not do refunds for live animals.
That being said, I have a great track record with shipping larvae, and have not experienced any losses so far.
Do you accept returns?
Yes, but I will not offer refunds. If you are unhappy with the live animals you ordered and do not wish to keep them, I will accept returns within 48 hours of you receiving them. However, you are responsible for covering express shipping costs and providing careful and appropriate packaging when repacking animals.
Please don’t order animals you don’t have space or time for. It is a waste of time for both me and for you, and above all else it puts the animal through unnecessary stress and risk. If you have any questions regarding care, please email me and I am more than happy to provide you with help and guidance.
If you wish to return products that are not live animals, all items must be unused, bags and containers holding contents must be unopened, seal must be intact, a photo of contents and proof hereof must be sent to fawkes.rainbowbugz@gmail.com , and a request for a return or refund must be made within 72 hours of receiving the package.
If your items arrive damaged, do contact me and we can work out a solution.
Please pay special attention to providing accurate contact information when placing your order. We do not take responsibility for delays and issues during delivery caused by incomplete or inaccurate information.
